Fans of the “Yellowstone” series are expected to see the finale with a famous face absent from the cast.
It recently started production on its final episodes, season 5, part 2, and o Kevin Costner, who played one of the series’ protagonists, John Dutton, has repeatedly stated that he is not participating in the filming. While this is certainly a blow to fans of the character, the star also continued to reiterate his willingness to return to close out Dutton’s story.

In a new interview with the Today Show to promote his upcoming film “Horizon: An American Saga” costner said: “I would love to come back under the right circumstances, I think we all want to. For me, it really has to be the right conditions.” he added.
According to the actor, the production was delayed despite the fact that he was ready to shoot whenever he was asked.
Last April, the actor told ET: “I wish we could do it, but we didn’t.”
“I did it for five years and wanted to work more than once a year”Costner said on the Today Show. “We lost a whole year at one point and I thought this can’t happen again” he clarified. “I’ve supported this series and loved it” he said.
