On Saturday, June 22, Happy Traveler completes its exciting trip to Lebanon, and Eutychis visits impressive locations, historic sites and popular archaeological sites.

Eutychis leads to the shocking mountain masses in the center of the country and passes through beautiful natural landscapes with forests and bare mountain tops. It goes to the Kandissa Valley, the so-called sacred valley, where at an altitude of 1500 meters there are villages and dozens of traditional monasteries built in caves inside the rocks. He visits a very atmospheric monastery but also a cave where it was used by monks for centuries.

He goes to the famous cedar forest to admire Lebanon’s national tree, which is also depicted on the country’s flag. After spending the night in a mountain lodge, he sets off for the eastern side of the country, where he crosses the highest road – a pass that is covered with snow even at the end of May.

It descends to the Baalbek Valley on the border with Syria, home to the most impressive archaeological site in Lebanon, the ancient Greek and Roman city of Heliopolis (Baalbek), named after the words Baal (sun) and Bek (city).
