Meg Bellamywho played the young Kate Middleton in “The Crown” stated that internet “trolls” wrote that she is too fat for this role.

The 21-year-old actress – who is a doll – starred in the latest season of the show, where we also saw William and Kate’s courtship at St Andrews University.

Speaking to You magazine, the actress said that when she looked at her phone after a long day of press interviews, she started reading all these messages on social media about her body. In the interview, Bellamy described the comments from internet ‘trolls’ as ‘a look at being a woman in this industry’.

“I thought, ‘OK, this is a sign to distance yourself from, because it doesn’t mean anything.’ You can’t read stuff like that”she said in her interview.

Bellamy said that since the series wrapped, she has tried to put the character she played behind her, but reflecting on Kate’s cancer diagnosis, she said: “I feel so sorry for her and her family.”

The last cycle of the series “The Crown” divided the critics, mainly for the way it presented the death of Princess Diana. The role of the late princess was played by Australian actress Elizabeth Debicki in both the fifth and sixth cycles.
Bellamy stated that Debicki was supportive of her. “I can call her for anything”he added.
