About three months after receiving a bone marrow transplant, Fabiana Justus celebrated the new stage of her leukemia treatment: tests indicated that the disease is in remission.
The influencer celebrated the result on social media. “I’m in remission. I consider myself cured!”, she wrote. “Today’s tests came back zero, just like the ones before. But today I was more anxious because I’m reaching the long-awaited 100 days post-transplant,” said Fabiana.
The influencer explained that the first 100 days after the transplant are the ones with the highest risk. “The next milestone in the treatment is 180 days (six months after the transplant), which is when I take most of the vaccines and stop taking immunosuppressants,” she reported.
“Life is getting back to ‘normal’. Let’s go! I’m winning the biggest battle of my life! And what will remain after all this is a great learning experience. Life with more color, more joy and lots, but lots of gratitude”, concluded Roberto Justus’ daughter.
Fabiana, 37 years old, discovered leukemia in January this year. Mother of a ten-month-old baby, she had to stop breastfeeding because of chemotherapy. The influencer has two other daughters, four-year-old twins.
