One of the stars of the series “Beverly Hills, 90210”, Tori Spelling surprised her followers by revealing that she keeps her children’s placentas at home. The actress who played Donna Martin in the popular 1990s production also revealed the place she chooses to store the placentas: in the freezer.
“I’m going to comment on the last thing people would think I have in my freezer: my placenta,” Spelling said when answering a fan’s question about personal trivia on the MisSPELLING podcast on Thursday (27). “I’m not sure which child. There are two containers in there,” concluded the actress who is mother to Liam, 17, Stella, 16, Hattie, 2, Finn, 11, and Beau, 7, with Dean McDermott.
Tori, 51, also explained why she saved the placentas. “There are theories that saving or burying them brings good luck. It’s also good to eat them or turn them into pills. I’m too lazy to send them to a pharmacy or a lab,” she admitted, adding that she still has another placenta at the house of a friend named Jess.
“She came to the hospital the day Beau was born. But because I had a C-section and there were complications during the birth, we stayed in the hospital longer. So I asked Jess to take the placenta home with her and it’s still there today. Every now and then, she asks me to get the container,” she said.
Tori Spelling didn’t stop there. The actress said she and her ex-husband McDermott once ate one of her placentas. “We cooked the placenta and ate it,” she recalled. “People do this all the time, and Dean is an amazing chef. He cooked it, seasoned it, and it was really, really good.”
