What new movies and series will we enjoy on the Netflix platform this month?
While summer has arrived for good, the Netflix has made sure to keep us company in July as well, with films for the whole family, romantic productions for dreamers, true crime documentaries, action but also mystery series for strong solvers, daring thrillers that “take your breath away” but also a film station in history of cinema.

Call me by your name
In 2017, director Luca Guadagnino returned to the big screen with a romantic novel, a hymn to love, without discrimination and barriers. In the film “Call Me by Your Name” we are transported to Northern Italy, one summer in 1983. There, 17-year-old Elio Perlman (Timothée Chalamet) spends his days at his family’s villa, playing classical music, reading and flirting with his girlfriend Marzia (Esther Garrel); When Oliver (Armie Hammer), a charming American scientist preparing for his Ph.D., arrives as the annual summer intern assigned to help Elio’s father, this summer will change their lives forever. The film is based on the adaptation of André Aciman’s book of the same name and was nominated for three Golden Globes: Best Motion Picture Drama, Best Actor in a Motion Picture Drama (Timothe Salamet) and Best Actor in a Motion Picture (Armie Hammer).

Two steps away
A couple of teenagers with cystic fibrosis meet in a hospital and fall in love, although their disease means they must avoid close physical contact. A romantic drama in Justin Baldoni’s directorial debut and starring Mikki Daughtry and Tobias Iaconis. Inspired by cystic fibrosis sufferer Claire Wineland, “Two Steps Away” comes to Netflix to celebrate selfless love and the value of friendship and of love.

The first Cypriot film to enter Netflix.
