The couple of ex-BBBs Mari Gonzalez, 28, and Jonas Sulzbach, 36, said they were surprised by the withdrawal of actor Tiago Abravanel from Big Brother Brasil 22 (Globo), this Sunday afternoon (27). They went to honor the singer Ludmilla, on the second day of Carnival shows in the City, at the Jockey Clube de São Paulo.
“I didn’t think he would give up. Jonas and I watched the program every day and I didn’t feel that way about Tiago”, said Mari, who is still trying to understand what led the actor to press the program’s cancel button.
According to Mari, it’s a totally different world inside the most watched house in Brazil. “It’s a lot of psychological pressure for those who are confined. In the house, there are moments when you need to have a lot of self-control. When I participated, I felt sad, alone, but I never thought about giving up”, said Mari, who confesses that she is evaluating the reasons for the attitude from James.
They commented that strategy is essential to get through the program and that perhaps this was lacking for Abravanel. “At BBB, strategy matters a lot, because it’s still a game. People get together, making alliances, that’s normal. I don’t know if it was because of the episode in which Tiago was not chosen [para a Prova do LÃder]but each person knows what they are going through”, said Mari.
For Sulzbach, the person needs to be well affected by all the pressure to give up the reality show. “I think that the person needs to be with the psychologist very weak to give up. The possibility of giving up on reality never crossed my mind”, she says.
The couple says they are still very reticent about going out due to the Covid pandemic, but made an exception to watch the singer Ludmilla’s show. “We only go out when we know that the event is safe, ask for proof of vaccination and such”, commented Jonas, who proposed to his girlfriend at the end of the year. “We are excited about our future,” said the bride.
