Anyone who follows Valentina Bandeira, 30, whether on social media or on TV, is used to seeing a woman who is a jokester, outspoken, spontaneous, and an admitted drinker. And funny, very funny. Not that she isn’t like that in real life. But Valen, like everyone else, has other moods and other nuances to her personality that aren’t always shown to those outside her inner circle.
This will end. In her new project, the podcast Passa Lá Em Casa, which premiered this Tuesday (2) on her YouTube channel, she promises to show herself in an intimate version, as she really is, without exaggerations or exaggerated jokes. “I can be quiet, I can be extroverted, I can be melancholic, I can be euphoric… I am a lot of things, while that person [pública] has more fixed characteristics”, he explains, in a video call with the F5directly from your sofa, in Rio de Janeiro.
Valentina says that her “persona” on social media and programs is an augmented version, a caricature she created of herself, which also protects her from the evils of the internet. “It happened naturally. I think that, in order for me to communicate on the internet, as a protection, I invented a thing that doesn’t expose me completely.”
It is this other version, less histrionic, but still exposing herself (she is, in fact, spontaneous and has a great sense of humor, what can you do?), that the public will see on her celebrity talk show. With a combination of conversations in the privacy of her home and interactions on the street, she intends to show a little more of her life, her friendships, the way she sees life — and her interactions with the guests.
“I like the streets, bro, the streets! The bars,” he once said. So, it’s only logical that he shows his followers his favorite places in Rio de Janeiro. The Feira da Glória and Praça Mauá are some of the places he will take his guests. The Sibic [Samba Independente dos Bons Costumes]at Fundição Progresso, in the Lapa neighborhood, and the bars (more roots, as she doesn’t like playboy programs) will be the setting for some outings. “I don’t know how to do anything else. These are my people.”
Being canceled on social media wouldn’t dampen her good mood either: “It would ruin my week. I think I’m pretty honest and pretty intelligent, so if I messed up, I would understand what I did and I would work around it and improve,” she says.
Her guests, she says, will be “interesting people.” Of course, she’s looking for celebrities who would give her the opportunity to deepen the conversation “and explore depths.” The first guest is Fernanda Bande, from BBB 24. Why her? Valentina believes that the confectioner “explored her depths like crazy on Big Brother.”
The episodes will be recorded to be aired while Valentina is in Paris, covering the Olympics. She is part of the “Paris é Brasa” team, a group of influencers who will be following alternative events on site and reporting on behavior during the Games. “It will be coverage focused on fun,” she says. And in a city she knows very well.
“I speak French, I know the customs, traditions and culture very well”, says the actress, who was born in France and studied at a French school in Rio, but makes a point of declaring herself Brazilian.
Another project that should air in the midst of all this is the second season of Beija Sapo, on MTV, which returns with more famous guests. Asked by F5 If she prefers to be on TV or the internet, Valentina doesn’t hesitate: “I want to be in everything.”
“I think the most incredible thing about my career is that I don’t have to choose. I’m going to do both. I’m really multimedia. I want to be in the movies, on television, on the radio. I want to be on the internet, on YouTube. I want to be everywhere!” she says, with that unique way that makes it seem like you can almost hear her talking. A way that takes her everywhere, to all media, all the time.
