Kevin Bacon, 65, surprised his fans by announcing that he recently went through an unusual experience and was not happy with the result. The actor dressed up in disguise so he could walk the streets of Los Angeles, United States, and, to his disappointment, he was not recognized. “It sucked,” lamented the actor who played Ren in the first version of “Footloose” (1984).
He gave details of the experiment. “I’m not complaining, but I have a face that is very recognizable. Putting on my hat and glasses only works to a certain extent. I asked a special effects makeup artist for help,” explained the actor, who emerged wearing fake teeth, a different nose and a pair of glasses.
At first, Kevin was happy to see that the disguise worked. But over time, he discovered some unpleasantness. “People kept pushing me out of the way on the sidewalks. They weren’t nice. No one said ‘I love you’ on the street,” he told Vanity Fair.
Bacon, who is a private detective named John Labat in the horror film “MaXXXine“ in Ti West added another gripe: “I had to wait in line to, like, buy a damn coffee or something. I was like, ‘This sucks. I want to be famous again, and honestly, I’m just so grateful for where I am,'” said the actor who is in the cast of “Beverly Hills Cop 4: Axel Foley.”
