Iza echoes support after exposing betrayal: ‘They make me strong even when I don’t need to be’

One day after revealing that she was cheated on, Iza shared the support she received on social media and from celebrities. Six months pregnant, the singer said she didn’t know that so many people loved her and that she would go through the situation with her.

“My talismans, you make me strong even when I don’t need to be. I can’t reply to everyone yet, but I will. I’m really feeling embraced. I love you guys,” she wrote on her official Instagram profile.

Iza also thanked everyone for the messages, flowers, conversations and outbursts she received. The artist announced the end of her relationship with soccer player Yuri Lima through a video, in which she stated that he was exchanging messages with a woman he had previously been in a relationship with.

Celebrities such as Anitta, Ludmilla and Ana Maria Braga wished strength to her and Nala, the baby she is expecting.

According to Iza, there was no conversation between the former couple. The end came about through the publication of the video. “Yuri himself is being taken by surprise. He thought he was very smart and so did the other person. He cheated on me. He had conversations with someone he had been with before getting together with me. And you will meet her because she really wants to be known.”

Later, Lima confirmed the betrayal and stated that the exchange of messages occurred in a moment of weakness and that, now, he has lost his family.

Kevelin Gomes, the person responsible for the breakup, said she felt a little embarrassed and that she was not anyone’s lover. She said she had not met the player since the former couple started dating, but that the two maintained contact and the intimacy they had.

“Doing something that would affect a relationship, a pregnancy, would never be in my nature. There were no encounters. I am not anyone’s lover. I am sorry for having reached this level. I feel ashamed, not for my actions, but for the level we have reached.”
