Iza’s fans invade Mirassol’s social networks and ask for Yuri Lima’s removal

Iza’s fans have been using the social media of Mirassol, the team where Yuri Lima plays, to call for the player’s dismissal. Yuri, an obscure athlete on the team that plays in the second division of the Brazilian Championship, cheated on the singer during the pregnancy of the couple’s son, as she herself said in a video. The betrayal was confirmed by him, who said he regretted it.

“You should get rid of this Yuri. How can he cheat on the most beautiful woman in Brazil and be pregnant?”, wrote a follower in one of the team’s last posts. “Fire this little man project who is only known by Iza”, pointed out another.

“This guy doesn’t even have control over his own character and he’s going to lead the team as captain?” asked another about Lima’s leadership of the team. “Yuri, Brazil hates you,” wrote another follower. “Don’t put this guy in the lineup,” asked another fan. Another, more aggressive, asked his teammates to hurt him: “Ten thousand reais for whoever hits Yuri’s knee during training.”

WHAT MIRASSOL SAYS

According to the press office of the São Paulo club, the player remains at the disposal of the technical committee, following the work schedule as normal.

The club claims that the controversy involving the player and the singer and the negative repercussions of the case have not affected any sponsorship partnerships and that there is no threat of investors leaving the team.

“The club’s social networks are open. We are a club that is located in a city of 60 thousand inhabitants and even before Wednesday [quando estourou o caso]our Instagram already had more than 190 thousand followers”, he says. This Friday (12), there are 196 thousand.

The team says it will not intervene in any way, “as this is a personal matter and not a crime”. According to club representatives, the messages received on social media do not affect Mirassol’s image.
