Singer Camila Campos was diagnosed with advanced stage breast cancer and hospitalized for treatment, according to information released on her Instagram this Friday (12).
She is seven months pregnant and is married to former soccer player Léo, a defender who played for teams such as Cruzeiro, Grêmio, Palmeiras and Chapecoense. They are expecting a girl, Sophia, and are the parents of two-year-old Bela.
“It is time for us to unite as a church in prayer, believing in the supernatural power of our God. […] Although the diagnosis is frightening and discouraging in the eyes of medicine, we serve and believe that the last word comes from the Doctor of doctors and that He continues to be powerful to heal”, says the team’s note.
Campos is a gospel singer, with songs such as “Deus Está Vivo”, “Pela Fé”, “Para Sempre” and “Deus da Salvação”. Her first album was recorded in 2008.
She participated in projects such as the musical competition “Mulheres que Brilham”, on the Raul Gil program, the book “Os Conselhos do Pai sobre casamento” together with her father, the podcast with the theme “Bíblia Terapia” and held the live “BH Profetiza” at Mineirão with the participation of names such as Regis Danese and Ana Paula Valadão.
She is also a psychologist and speaker. On Instagram, she has almost 200 thousand followers and shares records of worship, reflections and family moments.
The singer’s team used social media to ask followers for prayers. “If you can, stop what you’re doing right now and cry out to the Lord for the life of Camila and Sophia, who she carries in her womb. We believe in a church that unites and declares words of life!” they wrote.
