Michailidis: “Of course we wanted to show a better face in the friendlies, but we see daily progress”

Statements after PAOK’s friendly defeat by Fitese were made by Yannis Michaelidisstressing that his team must perform much better at the start of their official duties, while expressing confidence that he and his team-mates will be ready for the first leg of the second qualifying round of the Champions League.

What the PAOK defender said in detail:



“We played many days over here, every day with double trainings. Of course we wanted better results in the friendlies, to show a better face, but fatigue also plays a role. The team will be as close to 100% ready as possible. There is certainly not much time, there must be chemistry between us, to show a completely different image than the friendly ones.

We came here to work, we see daily development, there are not many different players from last year, we have good chemistry between us, there may be fatigue, but as time goes on we are getting better, which we showed in the first half and in both today friendly. The second one may have been different, but they are friendly and help us to better prepare for the official ones. The team is working hard and I believe they will be ready for their official games”.
