Singer Pitty, 46, performed sitting on a stool on Saturday night (13), on the fifth day of the Rio Winter Festival, at Marina da Glória. She is still recovering from a surgical procedure.
Earlier this month, after undergoing surgery in an undisclosed location, Pitty canceled three shows she was scheduled to perform in the coming days. The singer’s press office confirmed the information on her social media.
Therefore, the performances in Rio de Janeiro, São Paulo and Minas Gerais, which were scheduled to take place from July 4th to 6th, had to be cancelled.
Without going into the merits of the surgery itself, Pitty spoke about returning to the stage. “This is an unusual format defined at 45 minutes of the second half so that we could be here. Giving up was never an option.”
And he joked with the audience: “I confess that I was almost calling the MST to repossess this body, but I believe that we will be able to do it together here today,” he added.
On social media, after the show, the artist from Bahia thanked everyone. “Different, intimate and possible. Improvised with so much love. Thank you for being with me today, Rio,” she wrote in a post.
