Luan Santana and Jade Magalhães announced that they are expecting their first child on Monday night (22). The two shared the news on social media, where they received a flood of congratulations from famous friends such as Maisa Silva, Larissa Manoela, Camila Queiroz, Marina Ruy Barbosa, Carla Diaz, among others. The singer’s fans were also thrilled with the news.

The couple were in a relationship for 12 years, got engaged in style and moved in together, but announced their separation on social media in 2020. The marriage proposal had been made in high heaven: during a hot air balloon ride in Portugal in September 2019.

In 2021, the singer started dating model Izabela Cunha, with whom he also got engaged, but Jade had not been in any other relationship since then. Luan became single in May 2023.

Luan and Jade were separated for four years and, in February of this year, fans of the country singer noticed that he and his ex-fiancée were posting photos and videos on social media in similar places in the Caribbean. Soon after, they confirmed their reconciliation.

The country singer’s publicist confirmed the pregnancy in a statement. “His name means ‘powerful as a lion’, ‘he protects and is fair’, ‘warrior’, ‘related to the Moon’, ‘the son of the Moon’. Hers comes from the Spanish word ‘ijada’, and is associated with the precious stone known for its beauty and historical value, used as an amulet for protection and healing and considered a symbol of purity, wisdom and harmony. Luan and Jade are now looking for a name for their baby.”
