Actress and singer Muse Maya, 24, was confirmed this Thursday (8) as a member of Estrela da Casa, Globo’s new musical reality show. Born in Maricá (RJ) and living in the capital of Rio de Janeiro, Muse sings trap and has her own studio at home.

Daughter of a jazz singer and granddaughter of a samba dancer, Muse began her career on the streets, writing poetry and taking part in slam battles. Her hobby is video games and she says her stage name comes from the character she created to play RPG.

Now, she is focused on gaining recognition as a singer. “I want to be successful, live on the dance floor, have a ceiling at home and good acoustics for my songs,” she explains, designing and sewing her own costumes for her performances and recording videos.

Her main musical style is trap, with influences from pop, rap, jazz and blues. Single, she considers herself a fun, spontaneous and righteous girl-woman: she hates rudeness and impoliteness.

“I don’t like to lose my mind. If you treated me one way, I’ll treat you the same way. If the person likes me, they like me. If they don’t, I’ll make a song,” he jokes.

Estrela da Casa will be hosted by former BBB Ana Clara Lima. The program will start airing next Tuesday (13) on TV Globo, with reruns on Multishow. The confinement will be broadcast 24 hours a day on Globoplay.
