Known for having many friends and for the excitement of her celebrations, Preta Gil celebrated her 50th birthday at a party packed with celebrities on Thursday night (8), in a space in the port of Rio de Janeiro.
The singer’s guest list was eclectic. Artists such as Marieta Severo, Angélica and Luciano Huck, Juliette, Carolina Dieckmann, Simony, Tati Quebra Barraco, Narcisa, Rafa Kalimann, Sophie Charlotte, Giovanna Ewbank, Maisa Silva, Marina Sena, Karol Conká, Pabllo Vittar, Xamã, Tiago Abravanel and Regina Casé were present.
The party had shows by Psirico, Ludmilla and O Kanalha, as well as a performance by Péricles.
“A real life, well lived, with a lot of pain, with a lot of achievements, with a lot of determination, a lot of struggle, with many victories, with ups and downs that made me stronger and who I am today,” Preta wrote on social media.
Gilberto Gil celebrated his daughter’s 50th birthday by talking about her ability and taste for variety in entertainment.
“She’s very histrionic,” he said.
As part of the celebration, the singer launched her autobiography “Preta Gil: the first 50”, published by Globo Livros.
“Life gave me the chance to face cancer, to end relationships that didn’t enrich me and to start new ones,” said Preta about her journey.
She will hold an autograph session at Livraria da Vila (Lorena), in São Paulo, starting at 6 pm on the 13th.
