The coastal settlement You could is located on the western coast of Kea and at a distance of 12 kilometers from the capital of the island, Ioulida. It is considered one of the traditional but also the oldest of the island, as it is located where one of the four city-states of the island, Poiiessa, once stood.

The area is also famous for its wonderful beach, which is particularly popular and attracts a lot of people as it combines natural beauty with clear waters. It is a protected cove, at the end of a valley overgrown with olives, surrounded by two mountain slopes. The beach has a wonderful sandy beach with fine sand and crystal clear blue waters, making it an ideal choice to enjoy your swim. For those who wish, there are umbrellas and sunbeds, but also enough free space to spread your towel, while you can seek shade and coolness under the tamarisk trees that are on the shore.

A few meters from the beach is also the only camping on the island. Those who choose to sit on the beach until late, will also enjoy the unique sunset, a consequence of the western orientation of the beach. A good opportunity to visit the area is on August 6, the day of the celebration of the Transfiguration of the Savior, as a traditional festival is organized on the beach.
