“What’s this? I hope none of you in the audience do the same. Be conservative.” That’s how presenter Silvio Santos, who died this Saturday (17), at the age of 93, was shocked when he leafed through and commented on the Playboy magazine of his then stage colleague, model Lívia Andrade.
After telling her all her measurements, he made a point of making fun of everything, as was his custom in the jokes he made with those who worked with him. “Only ugly women. How horrible,” he said at the time.
The model was on the cover of the men’s magazine in 2001, when she was known as Sérgio Mallandro’s stage assistant. The slogan used by the publication was: “The little mallandrinha Lívia wants to take you on the back of her bike”. The title was another reason for the presenter to make fun of her.
“But even if you pay me, I’ll ride on your back,” he said, to laughter from everyone in the audience.
On social media, Lívia also paid tribute to the presenter. She worked with him every Sunday at SBT before going to Globo.
“Sisi, you will not leave my life, you will continue to live forever here in my heart in a very intense way. Present in my best memories, in my best laughs and in my work on TV. You were my boss, co-worker, friend, mentor. I miss you,” she wrote in the caption of some videos with Silvio Santos.
