Cíntia Abravanel, Silvio Santos’ firstborn, is the first to speak about her father’s death: ‘I miss him and so does Brazil’

Silvio Santos’ eldest daughter, Cíntia Abravanel, 61, was the first of the presenter’s heirs to speak publicly after his death.

Cíntia used social media to pay tribute to her father with a photo in which she appears as a little girl, in his arms.

“Dad, my love, I already miss you and Brazil too. Thank you for everything, for every conversation, life lesson, affection and especially love. You will always shine for me, dad. I will feel your presence in every step I take, guided by the love you left behind. I love you infinitely,” wrote Cíntia.

Silvio Santos’ other daughters published a joint statement on behalf of the family, thanking fans for their affection.

“Dear authorities, businesspeople, clients, media colleagues, organizations and the beloved Brazilian public, we would like to thank you for the affection, respect and all the tributes that have been paid to our father. We hope he is seeing and receiving all this love. He knew he was loved, but he had no idea how much,” the family said.

“We will strive and work to bring you joy, information and entertainment in the same way he always did. May his essence remain on SBT and may SBT continue to be made by and for Brazilians. In the same way he loved you, we love you too. We feel embraced by thousands and thousands. We want to send you our hugs and reaffirm our bonds of gratitude to each one of you. Thank you very much, Abravanel Family.”

Patrícia and Silvia posted the message and received affection from fans and friends. Rodrigo Scarpa commented on Silvia’s post: “My condolences. May the Silvio Santos we know, happy and fun, charismatic and full of talent, never leave the hearts of everyone who follows SBT. I know he continues with us through you, daughters and the Abravanel family. My deepest condolences,” wrote the comedian.

Ary Fontoura also left a message for Silvio’s daughter: “All my love! May God protect you all,” wrote the actor. Daniela Albuquerque commented: “May God take away all this pain. My condolences to the entire SBT family,” said the first lady of RedeTV!
