Klara Castanho won a lawsuit for moral damages against influencer Adriana Kappaz, known as Dri Paz.
The influencer was ordered in the first instance to pay R$70.6 thousand to the actress for exposing her in a moment of vulnerability. The information is from UOL.
In the lawsuit, the actress claims that she was forced to publicly reveal that she was the victim of rape after the influencer revealed her pregnancy and subsequent adoption of the baby. The incident occurred in 2022.
In 2023, the actress won a lawsuit against Antonia Fontenelle for the same reason. The YouTuber was ordered to pay R$50,000.
In March of this year, Hospital e Maternidade Brasil, part of Rede D’Or São Luiz, was ordered to pay R$200,000 in compensation to the actress for leaking information about her. Journalist Leo Dias is also facing a similar lawsuit. All lawsuits are being processed in secret.
In the lawsuits, Klara said she was “humiliated” by the trio due to the way the matter was made public and the judgment that was instigated against her on the internet.
In Dri Paz’s conviction, the court understood that she, “in a reckless and irresponsible manner, ignoring any caution or empathy, caused considerable negative exposure to the actress’s image, already weakened by the personal situation she had experienced.” The influencer can still appeal.
When contacted by the press, Klara’s press office stated that the process is being handled in secret. “We do not comment on anything related to court decisions,” said a spokesperson for the actress. Influencer Dri Paz was contacted by the press, but has not responded so far.
