“My health is very good. After two transplants, I needed to recover physically. After overcoming heart and kidney transplants, I now have to take care of the bodywork.” This is how Fausto Silva, 74, talks about his current state. The presenter, however, does not rule out undergoing another kidney surgery.
“This week there is a prospect of reducing dialysis to once a week, until it stops. There are two expectations. One is that I still have faith in the team that is treating me, but I already have the possibility of having surgery with a doctor from Curitiba in Miami, I had a consultation with him,” he said in an interview with Cesar Filho.
“He wants to implement his system in the SUS, which is a revolution. This will provide more possibilities. I have about ten donors from my family alone with compatible blood types,” he says.
But this possible new procedure does not take away from Faustão’s mind the idea of returning to work, something he misses. According to him, although he has already received proposals to work in the digital sector, his business is really television.
“I wanted to go back and do something I’ve never done. But first, I’m going to take care of my health. I lost ten kilos, I lost mass,” he said.
