About the new data in the field of showbiz, she spoke Sophia Manolakou.

The actress who tours with the show “Perfect Strangers”, gave an interview to the SKAI show “Summer’s Cool” and talked about how the social media they play a role in an actor getting a job, but also the appearance criteria, which for her was a serious complex in the past.

“It’s funny how producers use the following numbers of actors as a criterion to get them a job. I find that if you get someone in a job just because they have a lot of followers, that won’t last long. If you are not efficient in your work, no matter how many followers you have, it doesn’t last,” said Sofia Manolakou, while she then referred to whether beauty eventually opens doors in the field of acting:

“Beauty can open a door for you, but what matters is how long you stay in the room. And being a model, if you have the look of a cow, you won’t do many photo shoots. So, what matters is the talent in something and not the outward appearance.

In the past I had a complex with my external appearance and tried to alter my features, dress badly to prove that I have talent. Then I relaxed a bit. I saw that others don’t just see me as pretty either. I have proven that I am more than that. At least I think or believe it in myself, I don’t know if others believe it too. I felt really bad when people complimented me on my appearance, I didn’t want to hear them.

Then I realized that this is not healthy and I should say “thank you” when I am told that I am beautiful. I was like “yeah, ok”. I was trying to reduce it. I’ve had psychotherapy, it also played a role in changing the way I see things.”
