Actor Tony Ramos, who just turned 76, was the special guest on Mais Você (Globo) this Tuesday (27), hosted by Tati Machado and Fabricio Battaglini. Ana Maria Braga is away due to Covid.

During the chat, Tony recalled the difficult times he went through in the first half of the year when he had to undergo brain surgery. According to him, it was his wife, Lidiane, who found him “passed out” in their bed at the same time he was getting ready to go film a movie.

“I lay down on the bed. When my wife came in, she saw me unconscious, my body hanging off the bed, I wasn’t reacting. Her best action was to call my doctor. They sent an ambulance. I went for imaging tests and went straight to the operating room. I had a seizure after a hematoma in my brain,” he recalled.

When he woke up, the first person he saw was Lidiane, who made sure to tell him that everything was fine. Now recovered, Tony says that he used to go over the lines of his play in the hospital as a memory challenge.

Tony was discharged on the first day of July. “I went to finish the film [‘A Lista’] the next day. God allowed me to have this. There are people who don’t believe it and I respect that. It was an absolutely divine permission for me to have this speed and be able to return,” he said.

During the chat, Tony received messages from Lília Cabral and Denise Fraga, with whom he performs the play “O Que Só Sabe Juntos”, and was moved. He also ate bread with egg, something he does not give up every morning, and received a São Paulo shirt, his favorite team.
