Her first statements after the publication by Leo Leandros with his notice that he has sent out of court with which he forbids his daughter to sing his songs, did the Vicky Leandros.

The world-famous singer who will give her farewell concert – as she had announced – on Friday, September 6 at Herodeion, spoke to Hello magazine and Vassilis Tsartsanis and answered this burning issue.

“The court case was not about me but about the company organizing the concert. By mistake they didn’t mention his name and of course they changed it as soon as they saw it and for me it is of course something natural to mention my father in my concerts, because he is part of my personal and professional life” explained Vicky Leandros and continued:

“From my side, relations are good. My father is in my heart and will stay there, because he raised me and wrote me the most beautiful songs in the world”, adds the top performer.

-Working with your father, who was a composer and global producer, what was it like? Did you ever break up with him during it?

“Basically we agreed, because he gave me a lot of freedom to choose the songs. He wanted to choose two or three songs and let me tell you later I found out that these were the commercial ones they were selling and I chose the ballads and the ones I particularly liked”, answers Vicky Leandros while also talking about the beginning of her career:

“When I was very young, my parents did not encourage me to do singing at all. My father was originally a singer and then he had a great talent in composition and production. And so we did a test, it was like a nice joke for us too. We went into the studio, made a record and then I realized that this is what I want to do with my life and he helped me.

It was my father as a composer very good, me again with my voice, and his production was very advanced. Otherwise, to tell you the truth, we could not be successful all over the world. Production plays a big role.”
