Gabriela Medeiros, Buba from “Renascer”, revealed in an interview with “Conversa com Bial”, in the early hours of this Thursday (5), that she has never lived in a relationship in which affection was the main feeling.

The 23-year-old actress said that, as a trans woman, her body is always objectified and she is the target of fetishes.

“It seems like I only exist at night. I hope one day to be someone’s sun,” he said.

In the interview, Gabriela also said that she learned to hug with Rodrigo Simas, with whom she starred in “Renascer”.

“Before I arrived at the soap opera, I didn’t know what a hug was. I found out during preparation.”

The performance as Buba was intense for the actress, who would wake up crying in the early hours of the morning thinking about the scenes she would play.

“The feeling is that we fill ourselves with the character’s complexities. And then we have to let it all out. I’m in this process of post-character mourning,” he said.

Gabriela dealt with silence and contempt from her family during her gender transition process and was helped by friends. She praised the support she received at the UBS (Basic Health Unit) República, in São Paulo, which is part of the SUS (Unified Health System).

The actress was born when her parents were still teenagers and was raised by one of her grandmothers, who took her in as a child, but had difficulty understanding the transition.

Before “Renascer”, Gabriela acted in “Vicky e a Musa” after being discovered by Bárbara Paz. The actress saw her performing a song by Maysa at a party, recorded it and sent it to producers at Globo.

Music, poetry and drawing entered the actress’s life in childhood, when she was a shy child who spent a lot of time alone.

At that time, a school librarian suggested the book “A hora da estrela”, by Clarice Lispector, a reading that opened the doors of the arts for her.

Gabriela told Pedro Bial that she still doesn’t have any projects after the soap opera, but it can be said that the interview was another success in her career, with praise from celebrities like Eliana.

“I was delighted to get to know you better. A life full of love and recognition,” said the presenter, in a comment on Instagram.
