“I’m definitely on Prince Harry’s side”stated Sir Ian McKellen this week. It’s not the kind of comment you’d expect from the legendary actor, who was knighted by the late Queen Elizabeth II.

However, his views on the royal family don’t end there – and following his fall from a London stage a few weeks ago, the famous actor has certainly had time to think things over while recovering at his London home.

In an interview with the “Times”, the beloved Gandalf said about him prince harry that he is not bright enough to cope with royal life, described the late Queen as “rude” and “quite crazy” in her later years, while for King Charles he kept the best: he called him “damaged”!

Since Prince Harry moved to the US with his wife, Meghan Markle, where they live in Montecito with their two children, Archie and Lilybet, Sir Ian, 85, appears to have been troubled.

In fact, the famous actor did not stop there for Harry. He compared life in the royal family to prison. Harry is “probably not bright enough” to help himself and live a life as a… blue-blooded worker. He added that Prince Philip appeared “deeply unhappy” and Charles III appeared “clearly devastated” by life in the royal family.

But it is the late queen that the “Lord of the Rings” protagonist met in person several times. He said that upon conferring his title, the Queen told him: “You’ve been doing this for a long time.”

He is then said to have added: “Does anyone still go to the theater?’ A statement that the actor described as “very rude”. “Well done to anyone who manages to stay sane in this world”Ian McKellen concluded.
