Influencer and former BBB Felipe Prior had his conviction for rape of a vulnerable person unanimously upheld in the Court of Justice of São Paulo. The case was tried in the second instance this Tuesday (10).

The influencer can still appeal the new decision in higher courts, such as the STJ (Superior Court of Justice).

THE F5 had access to the conviction document. The crime took place in August 2014, according to a complaint filed by the São Paulo Public Prosecutor’s Office. Prior allegedly forced a relationship with a friend who was drunk after a party in São Paulo.

In the first instance, Prior had been sentenced in June 2023 to six years in prison in a semi-open regime. He appealed the decision.

In the new decision, the judges decided to increase the sentence to eight years, still in semi-open regime. The reason for the increase was due to the high gravity of the crime committed by the former BBB, with robust evidence being presented.

The judges Luiz Tolosa Neto, as rapporteur of the case, as well as Ruy Alberto Leme Cavalheiro and Márcia Lourenço Monassi, participated in the trial at the TJ-SP. They all followed the rapporteur’s vote without question.

Three other rape cases are pending in court against Felipe Prior. None of them have a trial date yet.

Prior has denied the accusations and says he is in the position of the courts to clarify the facts. According to his lawyers, he was not aware of the accusations until last year.

“Felipe Prior vehemently repudiates the frivolous information spread about alleged events that occurred years ago, but only now, after having gained public visibility, are being manipulated. Felipe Prior will be available to the authorities for any type of questioning, and will adopt all necessary measures against those who attack his civility,” the statement said.
