The “hurricane” of music and politics…influencer (in favor of Kamala Harris), Taylor Swift, swept the MTV Video Music Awards for another night, winning the award for the best video of the year for the music video “Fortnight” (which in some the music reminded me a lot of Lana Del Rey).

Swift – who is now the most awarded artist at the VMAs – thanked her partner Travis Kelce during her acceptance speech, saying “That one person who supported me from the beginning was my boyfriend, Travis! Everything this man touches turns into happiness, fun and magic, so I want to thank him.”

Thousands of swifties inside the UBS Arena in Long Island, New York – and an estimated 270 million other social media followers – cheered and clapped.

The awards were originally scheduled for September 10, but were moved to not coincide with the debate between Kamala Harris and Donald Trump.
