Rock in Rio: Fabio Porchat, the king of the VIP box

There was no one to stop him. On the first night of Rock in Rio, this Friday (13), only one person was harassed by fans to the point of almost being unable to walk inside the festival’s VIP area. This person was comedian and presenter Fabio Porchat.

On a tour of the space, when he was still looking for an entrance to another box that, in fact, was not there, Porchat did not take three steps without being approached by people of all ages, in groups, alone or with family. And he attended to them all.

Before that, he stopped at the bar to order a beer—non-alcoholic, please. “It may sound weird, but it’s more for the taste. I like it. I drink beer with alcohol too. But I like the zero. I really do,” he explained to the reporter.

Porchat, who was accompanied by two people, continues his stroll and meets Malvino Salvador. “I remembered a story!”, the actor shouts, somewhat from afar. “Yay, send it to me!”, he replies, and then comments: “I come to these places to gather stories [para o programa Que História é Essa, Porchat?’]. I became the terror of celebrities, hahaha”.

A line of children forms to take photos with him, who demonstrates his ability to handle all makes and models of cell phones to take selfies.

Next come, in order, a young, beautiful woman; a teenager who went to his play; and then, “Luciana, from Angra, remember me?”. She tells a long story, he laughs and asks: “Can I have some chips?”, already helping himself to the sweet potato chips on her plate, which was with her husband, very happy, next to her.

He likes this approach. “People are very warm, they come up to me with a big smile on their faces. It’s in a place like this that we see that our work matters.”
