American singer, rapper, musician and film producer, Pharrell Williams, he wants celebrities to “plug it” when it comes to taking positions on policy issues.

“I am not involved in politics. In fact, I sometimes get annoyed when I see celebrities trying to tell us who to vote for.”he told the Hollywood Reporter.

“There are celebrities I respect who have an opinion, but why do they have to express their opinion in public? I’m one of those people who says, “What the hell? Shut up. No one asked you”he emphasized.

The 51-year-old artist refrained from revealing who he will vote for, although he said with a smile: “I am sure that I will never vote for the extreme right. I care about my people and I care about the country, but I feel there is a lot of work to be done.”

It is characteristic that Pharrell Williams’ interview was published one day after the Taylor Swift shocked the political world by endorsing Kamala Harris for president. While the 34-year-old pop star is arguably the most influential celebrity to publicly endorse a 2024 presidential candidate, she’s not the first to do so.
