The former First Lady of the United States, Melania Trumpposted a new video on social media defending her previous work as a nude model as she promoted her new book.

The video starts with Melania Trump to wonder: “Why do I proudly stand behind my work as a nude model?”

“Can we no longer appreciate the beauty of the human body? Throughout time, great artists have honored the human form, evoking deep emotion and admiration.”he continues.

“We must honor our bodies and embrace the age-old tradition of using art as a powerful means of self-expression”the video concludes.

Melania Trump’s memoir titled “Melania” they are due to be released in October. Her team, when announcing the release of the book, described it as “a powerful and inspiring story of a woman who forged her own path, overcame adversity and defined personal excellence.”

Melania Trump’s “bare truth” emerged during the 2016 election campaign, when New York Post published several nude photos, which were allegedly taken in 1995 and appeared in a now-defunct French men’s magazine. The headline on its cover was “The Ogle Office”.

At the time, Donald Trump told the newspaper that the photos were taken for a European magazine before the two met and that “such pictures are very fashionable and common.”

A 2000 British GQ cover in which Slovenian-born Melania Trump was photographed nude on Trump’s plane also surfaced during this campaign. A year after that photo shoot was published, the former First Lady gained legal residency in the United States, according to Washington Post.

The former president and First Lady married in 2005. Donald Trump’s two previous marriages were also to models: Ivana Zelníčková and Marla Maples. His numerous business ventures also included a modeling agency called ‘Trump Model Management’ – it closed shortly after taking office in 2017.

Melania Trump has kept a low profile throughout her husband’s 2024 presidential campaign, making only a handful of public appearances since the former president launched his third bid for the White House.

In July, she released a letter after the assassination attempt on her husband at a rally in Pennsylvania, thanking Secret Service agents and police officers for protecting the former president and saying she was thinking of her “fellow Americans” after the shootings.
