They may move in the same space and have been on the same television stations from time to time, but until now the Katerina Karavatou and the Stamatina Tsimtsilis they had not met on television sets. And that in itself is remarkable.

Katerina Karavatou was at Happy Day and talked about the experience of filming it Power of Love in Istanbul and beyond.

The interview started with Stamatina Tsimtsili welcoming her for the first time on her set: “How glad I am that we are together on television? We know each other, we like each other, but this is the first time we will have such a conversation. Have you got it? Because we have been hanging out, we love each other, we also have Mary Palialexi who is a connecting link”.

With Katerina Karavatou answering: “How beautiful you are, guys. Could it be the first time? I don’t believe that. I was sure that we have done countless interviews together.”
Then the conversation went to this summer and the filming of Power Of Love that kept her in Istanbul all months:

“It’s like I’ve been living in Istanbul for years. I had the kids along and it was an interesting experience. They were with me on long shoots but they had things left over. They could see things. At the end, they didn’t want to leave” said Katerina Karavatou and then referred to the negative comments she has received about the programs she presents:

“I didn’t mind the comments that were made at the beginning about me, I had the previous from My Style Rocks. And some people had come out there and commented on what work I have there and whether I will be able to succeed. I treat all programs with the same love,

I really wanted to make that change and go to something different from the shows we’ve been doing, try something else. I was starting to feel a little weird, especially in the year of MEGA with everything that was going on and we couldn’t be purely an entertainment show. You had to be a bit of a medical examiner and a bit of a criminologist and a bit of a lawyer. We didn’t get involved at all” clarified the presenter and added:

“Ultimately, the Star people were very right, there has to be pure entertainment shows so that the product you are presenting is clear. For me, the KouKou are a very bright spot in me and on my path. I love this show to the very last second.”

Concluding the conversation about her professional affairs, she also talked about the renewal of the new cycle of My Style Rocks and the comparison made with GNTM, due to the bootcamps:

“We tried to bring it out refreshed, with new columns, it’s not just the bootcamp, it’s in other programs as well. It just hadn’t been done at My Style Rocks until now, it hadn’t been seen. After all, these are the procedures that actually go through, now it became more organized in front of the cameras. I think we did it perfectly, if you ask me.”

Then moving on to a rare reference to her personal life, Katerina Karavatou declared that she was open to a new love:

“I have not excluded love from my life. Because my kids are young and they’re on the internet, if it’s not something that’s going to stand the test of time, I don’t want to talk about it. First I would like to talk to my children and then make something public.”
