An argument took over the VIP area of Rock in Rio in the early hours of this Saturday (21). At the center of the fight were actor Rodrigo Penna and the state governor, Cláudio Castro (PL).
On social media, Penna claims that he asked the president a question about investments for Uerj (Rio de Janeiro State University) and that he was attacked after the politician ordered him to. “He ordered his henchmen to beat me up. I was kicked and called names,” he posted.
According to a report by Veja, it was already after 1 am when the altercation occurred. Katy Perry was singing on the Palco Mundo stage, and the governor decided to leave his box with his family to walk around the VIP area.
Then, according to the version of the reporter who was at the scene, Penna would have greeted the politician and then insulted him and said that he would be “the worst governor there is”. Castro would have reacted with other insults, as did his wife who was next to him.
According to Veja, the politician’s security guards asked for 15 minutes for the journalist who was closely following the fight to hand over his cell phone and delete any photos and videos he had taken.
When contacted, the governor of Rio, Cláudio Castro, did not respond until the publication of this text.
