The fans – and not only – “crack” her Janet Jackson and calling her “irrelevant” as the artist questioned Kamala Harris’ parentage in a newspaper interview Guardian.

“She’s not black. That’s what I heard. That she is Indian,” said the 58-year-old singer. “Her father is white. That’s what they told me. I haven’t watched the news in a few days. They told me they found out her father was white.”she added.

Kamala is the daughter of Sayamala and Donald, immigrants from India and Jamaica respectively, who came to America in search of a better life. The couple separated when she was 6 years old and since then Kamala and her sister have lived very closely with their mother and little with their father.

The singer’s fans were horrified by Jackson’s false statements and “crucified” her in the X, with one writing: “That’s why she’s irrelevant and sucks the success of her brothers.”

It is worth noting that Kamala Harris was the first female attorney general of San Francisco and then the first black woman to serve as California’s attorney general. Born in Oakland, she was raised by her mother, Shyamala, a cancer researcher and civil rights activist, after her parents divorced.
