Lexa says she is trying to resolve the debt she shares with MC Guimê on her own: ‘I don’t think it’s fair’

Singer Lexa spoke this Saturday (28) on social media about attempts to resolve the debt she shares with funk singer and former BBB member MC Guimê. “I’ve been trying to reach an agreement for years, but I’ve been trying to reach an agreement alone. Is this debt mine alone? No,” said the artist about her ex-husband’s supposed absence in the process.

The debt refers to the purchase of a property in Alphaville in 2016 by the funk singer worth R$2.2 million. According to the owners, Guimê would have failed to pay around R$777 thousand.

In 2023, the court determined that Lexa should bear the million-dollar debt. The São Paulo Court of Justice interpreted that she is responsible for the singer’s debt for having a universal union of assets with him. Even with the separation after the case of sexual harassment on BBB 23, the singer did not share her assets.

Now, the owners of the mansion have gone back to court to charge the two the amount of R$5.1 million for material damages due to the misuse of the property. Among the allegations are graffiti on one of the walls and neglect of the pool, which had greenish water.

“This house issue has been going on for a long time. I’ve been trying to reach an agreement for years, but I’ve been trying to reach an agreement alone. Is this debt mine alone? No. This debt wasn’t even mine. Because when this contract was signed, not even in I lived in São Paulo. I lived in Rio de Janeiro. I didn’t sign it, I don’t even know these people, I don’t know the creditors, but as I got married, this debt that belonged to my ex ended up changing for me too”, Lexa commented to us. Instagram stories this Saturday.

She said the owners came to accept an agreement, but when she sent the proposal, she received a counter-offer, asking for more money. “I said, great, so let’s go with this proposal. Oh no, now we want more. I’m alone, trying to solve a huge problem. It’s always this dialogue of more and more and more. But I don’t think it’s fair for me to pay alone, okay? I don’t think so, I don’t even know these people, I never touched these people’s hands, I never signed this contract. I was just invited to pay.”

Lexa claimed to be the only one trying to solve it. “Do you think it’s right for me to pay for this alone? Do you think it’s right? When the deal is close to being closed, people want more all the time, and then what happens? The value increases over time.”

“I’ve been trying to come to terms with it for years. For years. I just keep seeing my name in the media and reading a bunch of barbarity from people who have no idea what’s going on and think I have to get screwed alone. Cool. Cool. While the other person there doesn’t mess with it here to try to resolve it”, she said, referring to her ex-husband.
