Rafa Brites says he earns from a post in stories the amount he received as a salary at Globo

Presenter and speaker Rafa Brites, 37, spoke about her decision to leave Globo on the Iconic Talks podcast, presented by Renata Kuerten. She said that, today, she earns the amount she received as a salary at the station with a story on Instagram — referring to the advertising done on the social network tool.

“I love Globo. My husband works there. Nothing against it, but it was very good for me to leave,” she began, when asked about the decision.

Brites reported that, during the period he worked at the station, he was not present in his son’s life. According to the presenter, she left the house in the morning, when her son was sleeping, and returned at night, when the little one had already gone to bed. “I decided to leave. I said, wow, this isn’t doing me any good. I know it’s what everyone dreams of, but as a human being, I’m unhappy, I’m not living with my family.”

The presenter also revealed that she did not like working on the Vídeo Show. “When I worked at Mais Você, I felt very useful […] And I was on the Vídeo Show, which, let’s face it, was a program where you waited for people to speak, maybe speak. So, on top of everything, I was in a product that I didn’t like doing”, he stated.

She said she did not regret leaving the station. “Financially, I prospered in the digital world, right? My salary from Globo, today, is my story. […] I’m not comparing myself to the great presenters, but, within my work, my salary today is a story. It’s not even a [post no] feed, a reels. It’s a story.”

“So I can’t regret it, because then I prospered, I was able to realize financial notions, write my book, do incredible projects”, added Brites.

Rafa Brites has two sons, Rocco, 7, and Leon, 2, both from a relationship with presenter Felipe Andreoli.
