What a remarkable moment in the history of the American Music Awards and in the life of the late Whitney Houston” the actor pointed out.

“One of the millions of music fans who attended the AMAs that night in 1994 was a 12-year-old girl in Chicago named Jennifer, who was so inspired by Whitney that she began to believe she might one day raise her voice. » added Samuel L. Jackson.

Jennifer Hudson took the stage and sang Whitney Houston hits closing with “I Will Always Love You.” The CBS special also featured Gladys Knight, Mariah Carey, Nile Rodgers and Chic performing Le Freak and Green Day’s hit Dilemma.
