In the presence of Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis, presidents of Parliamentary Groups, ministers and MPs, the customary consecration took place for the start of the work of the Second Session of the Kth Parliamentary Period of the Hellenic Parliament.

THE sanctification was performed by the Archbishop of Athens and All Greece Mr. Ieronymos and by members of the Permanent Holy Synod.

The Archbishop wished all members of the Parliament “good strength, health, good work towards the path of all of us. A strong journey, a journey of love and above all a journey of hope».

The Speaker of the Parliament, Konstantinos Tasoulas, earlier, at the beginning of the session, read to the House the Presidential Decree ending the work of the First Synod.

The consecration ceremony was attended by Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitostakis, the presidents of the Parliamentary Groups Nikos Pappas (SYRIZA), Nikos Androulakis (PASOK), Alexis Haritsis (New Left), Dimitris Natsios (Niki), Zoe Konstantopoulou (Pleisi Eleftherias), Vassilis Stigas (“Spartans”).

Minister of the Interior Theodoros Livanios, Minister of State Makis Voridis, Minister of Environment and Energy Theodoros Skylakakis, Minister of Development Takis Theodorikakos were present in the ministerial seats.

Then, according to the Agenda, the proportional election of deans and secretaries will follow, as defined by articles 6 and 8 of the Rules of Procedure of the Parliament.
