Cid Moreira was a puppet in the hands of Fátima and the will will be annulled, says son

Son adopted by Cid Moreira in the 2000s, Roger Moreira, 48, says he is not angry with his father, who died at the age of 97 on the 3rd. F5states that Cid, in fact, “is a poor thing”.

I have no grudge or anger towards him despite everything”, he says.

Roger, who has two cases open in court against Fátima, says he is convinced that the will will be annulled after the children are left out. In his version, the journalist would have been responsible for manipulating Cid in creating the document.

“She sold properties with much higher values, made suspicious negotiations and withheld these amounts. She wrote off two of his companies and opened one with just her as owner so that the money from his work would go into that account”, he says.

Roger says he found out from the caretaker who worked with his father for more than 20 years that Fátima would act ill-treated, offering stale food to the presenter and staying out of the house all day. He also accuses her of having had extramarital affairs.

The accusations also involve Cid himself, with whom he broke off relations in mid-2006. Cid allegedly sexually abused him between 1991 and 2000 on more than 1,400 occasions, a time when he used to travel with his father and sleep in the same room.

“I treated myself and took medication for years. At the time I didn’t have the mindset I have today nor the real notion that it was abuse,” he says, who cites masturbation and touching private parts as alleged acts of the famous father with the then young teenager.

He says that these alleged abuses reached Globo, the company where his father worked, and that he was called “Cid’s boy” there. “The adoption, completed in 2001, was a way he found to cover up these cases in the media.”

LAWYER DENYS ACCUSATIONS

When contacted, Fátima did not want to give a statement and said that she is in prison with her brothers in the interior of São Paulo to grieve. This Wednesday (9), there will be a seventh-day mass in Taubaté (interior of São Paulo).

Her lawyer, Davi de Souza Saldaño denies all the accusations and says that everything that is said by Roger “causes repulsion”. “Roger Moreira and his brother, Rodrigo Moreira, also filed independent actions seeking compensation for moral damages of an emotional nature, each attributing the value of approximately R$1 million to the case. Such claims were completely dismissed”, he says.

Subsequently, according to the lawyer, the brothers started to accuse Maria de Fátima Sampaio Moreira, Cid’s widow, of false accusations, alleging mistreatment of the elderly, false imprisonment, misappropriation of assets and other crimes related to the administration of his assets.

“Due to the inconsistency of the evidence presented, the practice of slanderous reporting by the children was investigated, with both being denounced by the Public Prosecutor’s Office for such acts”, states Davi.

Regarding the fact that Cid, in theory, was manipulated when he found himself in a state of senility, unable to manage his life and his assets, the lawyer states that expert reports were carried out that attested to Cid’s total capacity in full enjoyment of his faculties mental.

The lawyer also denies the allegations of sexual abuse. “The judiciary rejected the accusation and ordered the extraction of a copy and sent it to the Public Prosecutor’s Office for the proper investigation of a possible practice of slanderous denunciation by Roger, a procedure that is currently being processed before the 2nd Criminal Investigation Prosecutor’s Office of Barra da Tijuca “.
