His conversion to religion and faith, the value that confession and the mysteries of Orthodoxy have for him and how before and now he feels that he is on the sidelines, he confided in a different interview with Nancy Zampetoglou and Thanasis Anagnostopoulos, in Studio 4o Aris Servetalis.

The beloved actor looks nothing like himself at the time when he starred as Lazarus in the very successful series “You are my match” having undergone a huge personal change.

“Faith is a gift. It is given to you if you have a predisposition or a good condition that you seek the truth. Then it’s a matter of trust. From the moment you enter the process, you feel the value of devotional life, the sacraments, confession. Things are experiential and you can’t explain it. You say that this resurrects me and you can’t explain it,” said Aris Servetalis about his contact with religion and continued:

“Others started to see that I’ve gone crazy, I’m burnt out, he’s gone, he’s completely speechless and doesn’t communicate. My friends said I’m completely out of my mind. I said that I had escaped and now I am somehow coming. Now things are the other way around. I used to have red and blue hair before “You’re my match” and I was on the sidelines and now you say Orthodoxy, God, relationship, experiential things and I’m on the sidelines again”
