The reporter claimed that Hathaway was not very kind and that she felt like the actress hated her
Anne Hathaway has apologized to a reporter for being rude in an interview she gave in 2012 that went viral. In the clip, the Norwegian journalist, Kiersti Flaa, interviews the American actress as part of the promotion of the film project “Les Miserables” in 2012.
Flaa, who asked questions about the musical, asked the actors to answer in song, but the Hathaway she was not particularly positive about the idea although her co-stars Russell Crowe and Hugh Jackman were more enthusiastic.
The footage was released by the journalist this week on YouTube in a video titled “This might be the worst interview idea ever”. At some point the Anne Hathaway tells the reporter that she’s “not going to do it” when he asks her to sing, and the actress answers “no” to various questions about the film’s relationship themes.
Flaa claimed that Hathaway was not very nice and that she felt like the actress hated her. Elsewhere in the interview, Flaa asked Hathaway if she thinks people should have sacrificed more for love back in the 19th century compared to today. The actress replied: “no”.
The reporter disclosed that she recently received an apology email from Hathaway sent by the actress’ PR manager. “I have to say, I was really surprised” Kiersty Flaa said in a YouTube video.
“I didn’t expect him to contact me. I thought he would never see the video. But he saw it. And he did something really wonderful.” he reported. The reporter said Anne Hathaway sent her “a long” email explaining exactly what she was going through during the interview and apologized for the crappy interview.
