The promise she made to him when she met him and keeps it every year
Yesterday was a very special day for her Sophia Kourtidou and him Yannis Sevdokalis. It was the anniversary of his very serious injury from a passing train that eventually led to the amputation of both his legs.
12 whole years have passed since that fateful day that changed his life but not him who remains a wonderful person. and a happy man, always having by his side the woman of his life, Sofia Kourtidou, with whom they got married last summer after the public proposal of marriage on the set of J2US, in which they also emerged as winners.
“10.10.12. On this day 12 years ago, John, in an instant, found himself fighting for his life between the tracks and the wheels of the train. Through no fault of his own, being a pedestrian, he was run over by a train whose driver, as it turned out, was speeding twice the speed limit.
12 years later we are still waiting for him to be vindicated by the Greek Justice. However, he was vindicated by life. He became admirable. He didn’t live by a miracle…he became a miracle himself.
He used the second chance he was given to live life to the best of his ability. He became the brightest example for all of us.
When we met I promised him that we would celebrate this day every year… because it’s not the day he lost his legs but the day he grew wings to fly.
And he flies so high that he makes us all proud. And me especially, eternally proud, that the greatest man I ever met and will ever meet chose me as his wife. Happy birthday my love” Sofia Kourtidou wrote late at night, shocking once again.
