Actress Juliana Paes, 42, announced this Wednesday (9), through her social networks, the end of her fixed contract with Globo, after 21 years. The partnership, however, will continue, she said, which will even be in the remake of “Pantanal”, scheduled for release at the end of this month.
According to the actress, her contract is now for work and, thus, she is free to play other projects with competitors of the station, either on open TV or streaming. This change has been made with several Globo professionals in recent years.
Paes said in a statement on Instagram that his “decision has been talked about for a while and has been accepted with great respect and affection by the directors.” She also highlighted the positive relationship she has with Globo, which she called her “motherly home”.
“I will not make this message a farewell, as I will still be on the screens of the station in ‘Pantanal’ until the middle of the year; with a new project that we will start recording this month; and then in future projects with new contract styles. “
“I take this opportunity to say that I am damn proud of this house and that every time I set foot there I feel happy,” she continued. “I am very privileged to be part of the history of Brazilian TV through the hands of Globo.”
Several names have ended a fixed contract with the broadcaster after long journeys, such as Antonio Fagundes, Vera Fischer and Renato Aragão. The most recent were Lázaro Ramos, Camila Queiroz and Bruno Gissoni.
