His first posthumous release Liam Payne is due this Friday, less than two weeks after the former One Direction star died suddenly aged 31. The title song “Do No Wrong” is a collaboration between Payne and Grammy Award-winning producer, Sam Pounds.

Pounds announced the upcoming release on social media calling the song a tribute to the spirit and talent of Liam Payne and shared a personal message to the late singer’s family and fans.

“I pray this is a blessing to the world like Liam always dreamed of,” Pounds wrote in a post on X. “I pray the angels comfort you all every day as you listen to this. I pray this song will be a blessing to Ruth, Bear and the whole family.” he added.

“I pray this song overshadows the negative echo. I pray that divine positive healing power embraces each of you” he reported.

Pounds, according to Billboard, has published several tributes to Liam Payne, whom he described as a talented artist, devoted father and friend.

“That’s how I’ll always remember you, brother” wrote and shared videos from the time they were recording in the studio. “The cheerful, funny and talented brother, father and friend” noted and added that “together they created wonderful and beautiful music that will live on forever.”

Payne, 31, died after falling from a third-floor balcony at the CasaSur Palermo hotel in Buenos Aires, Argentina, on October 16. The autopsy report states that she died from multiple injuries, including internal and external bleeding caused by the fall.

Hotel officials had previously called emergency services to report his “disruptive behavior” after the former One Direction member had consumed drugs and alcohol, according to the call.
