Responding to a question about the judicial developments in the Novartis case, the government representative insisted that it is now a matter of regular justice
“There is no concern, our goal remains, for income increases to be greater than price increases, to continue the war against tax evasion, but also to ensure an even better life,” noted the government representative, Pavlos Marinakis, in response to a question while informing the political editors, about whether the government is concerned about the attitude of its MPs or former Prime Minister Antonis Samaras, in the budget vote.
In another question about statements by the Minister of Health, Adonis Georgiadis, regarding a possible change in the electoral law, Mr. Marinakis spoke of the minister’s fixed views and added that “there is no such issue”.
On the Greek-Turkish front, the government representative repeated that “obviously there is no kind of bargain with Turkey, there is only one difference with Turkey, that of the delimitation of the EEZ and the continental shelf” and added that “it is also good for the opposition parties to express their same line”.
Regarding the criticism received by the government, and from within the party, Pavlos Marinakis “explained that paraphilology and fake news about tolerance is a red line for the government”.
Responding to a question about judicial developments in the Novartis case, the government spokesman insisted that it was now a matter for the regular judiciary to investigate the circumstances under which the previously protected witnesses testified and denied that the government was considering the recommendation committee of inquiry on the matter.
Finally, and ahead of tomorrow’s (Wednesday) meeting between the Prime Minister and the President of the Federal Republic of Germany, the government representative explained that the German reparations and the subject of the home loan are “permanent national claims and irrevocable Greek demands”.
