The exclusive news of his new collaboration, which is expected to start around mid-November in Vox, was broadcast by Marji Lazarou on Saturday on the SKAI show, “Oi Dekatianoi”. And it has been 33 whole years since the last time that Mr George Dalaras and the Vasilis Papakonstantinou they collaborated in this way on stage.

On January 17, 18 and 19, 1991, Giorgos Dalaras and Vassilis Papakonstantinou collaborated in three concerts that left an era. In the historic Atticon theater which was packed all three nights and those who experienced it still remember it.

The two great artists had appeared for the first time together in “Diagionio” in 1976 in a very different format. In “Attikon” they sang together, exchanging their hits, but also suggested each one of their own repertoire or some selections from the present or the history of Greek song.

Dalaras chose to sing some songs from the “new stage” of Greek song, a small circle of gypsy, good old folk songs but also rebetika in a modern version. The live recording of their performances was released on a double disc which is considered one of the most commercially successful live recordings in the Greek discography and the first selling collaboration disc in the discography of Vassilis Papakonstantinou.

And now together again in a format that, as reported by Marji Lazarou, will be for two days a week, giving the opportunity to those who were children at the time and did not experience it to see it up close.
