O Sotiris Tsafoulias was today’s guest on the show “Buongiorno” and among many other things, the beloved director also talked about his life attitude, his views on social issues that concern the world, such as MeToo.

“We have lost the battle with the self-evident. We have made things so complicated, that we have stopped seeing the simple. It does not mean that I have infallibility in everything I say. Empathy plays a role in how you see things. Based on my experiences, my life, what I’ve learned and filtered, most of the time when I defend people for something they say, at the core of their reasoning I strongly disagree.

I stand up for their right to express themselves and to have the same rights as me. When things are pushed to extremes, it must go to the other opposite extreme to bring about a balance. Metoo is not a movement, it’s a lifestyle.

Many shows have fallen into this trap. We have to filter what we show”, said Sotiris Tsafoulias initially and continued:

“We’ve gotten to the point where we’re normalizing evil and screwing people over. It is not possible to come and ban movies and songs that are not politically correct today, while they were then.
