Maria Gladys defines herself as a stoner and hippie: ‘Prohibition is hypocrisy’

by

Maria Gladys is part of the team of actors who enjoy marijuana. The interpreter of the cleaning lady Lucimar in the original version of “Vale Tudo” said that she sees smoking weed on the street as a protest and that her habit is daily.

“I’m a stoner, I’m a hippie. And I think prohibition is hypocritical. It doesn’t hurt anyone. I’m from a generation that protested against the dictatorship, I’m used to it.”

During the period of repression in Brazil, the artist spent time in London, where she met an American. From the relationship, Raquel was born, mother of Mia Goth, an actress who has been successful in Hollywood.

“Mia lived with me from the age of 2 to 5. Since then I already knew she would be an actress. She is extraordinary. She is a very beloved granddaughter. Unfortunately, we have barely seen each other in recent years, but my focus now is to organize myself to go visit her”, he said in an interview with the newspaper O Globo.

The Brazilian will turn 85 on November 23, away from the screen. Her most recent role was in 2016, in “Pé na Cova”. Regarding the remake of “Vale Tudo”, she is against it.

“Another ‘Vale Tudo’, I think is a danger! ‘Nothing will be like before’, as the song says. ‘Vale Tudo’, there was one, that show! It was a milestone for television and for all actors. Now, It’s another story”, he says.

Names like Marcelo Serrado, Luciano Szafir and chef Helena Rizzo have already said they are fans of medicinal cannabidiol.
