An unprecedented scandal with an air of French sophistication took place in Paris, where a 30-year-old employee of Louboutin (Yes, we are talking about the house that launched “the ultimate black heel” with a red sole) is accused of organized theft of its luxury items, worth about 1.5 million euro.

According to BFMTV and Le Parisien, the employee is accused of organized theft of around 1,400 products between 2022 and 2024.

The fashion house Louboutin estimates the theft of more than 1,400 products, namely, 719 pairs of shoes with the characteristic red sole and 700 other leather goods, with a total value of 1.5 million euros.

As the newspaper Le Parisien reports, citing sources, the former employee, who insists on denying her guilt, but at the same time states that stealing products from the famous house is… a favorite tactic for its employees, worked in inventory management on behalf of the luxury brand, has a clean criminal record and previously worked for Dior.

The investigation, however, showed the existence of a network of illegal resale of shoes and luxury leather belonging to the Louboutin company, in the US

At the same time, after opening her bank accounts and after checks on her phone calls, a search was carried out at her home where 92 luxury items from Dior and Louboutin were discovered, with a total value of approximately 145,000 euros.

The defendant was found guilty after investigations into Facebook groups when another employee of the house, in September 2023, discovered two Facebook pages related to the sale of products from the company’s new, then, collection, under the brand name “Marvel”, series n which, however, had not yet been marketed.

It is worth mentioning that, among other things, it is now forbidden to work in fashion companies and luxury goods houses.
